What We Do

You deserve folks who listen.

You deserve folks who understand.

You deserve healing.

Mission

The Phoenix Clinic is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to helping underserved, low-income populations access quality, affordable mental health services while also providing growing therapists with access to systemic, culturally responsive training and professional development.

Together, we connect these highly trained therapists, skilled with a systemic lens, to the clients and communities most in need. Our network of strategic community partners also bolsters growth beyond the therapy room and towards a healthier future for clients and therapists alike.

How We Work

Therapy and Counseling

We believe in the power of therapy; to sit with one another and bear witness to both our most vulnerable moments and our most dynamic victories. It’s okay to talk to someone and to have a safe place as we navigate this world. From the initial contact with us all the way to the cost of services, individuals, couples, and families can expect to be heard and understood. We also ensure that once this phase of therapy is completed, folks will be connected to the community resources necessary to sustain their changes. Our “pay what you can” model lessens barriers and promotes access and investment towards mental wellness for folks of all creeds, races, orientations, and socioeconomic statuses.

Clinical Practicum and Internship Program

We believe in the power of community, context, and diverse voices in the field of mental health. Through our clinical program, we support our graduate student therapists in developing a systemic lens to better support the needs, solutions, and healing of the communities that they serve. We emphasize social justice, anti-racism, and a heightened cultural awareness within our clinical work. Our professional development is centered around helping budding therapists create their own vision for change in the field and practice of mental health.
